Jimbo’s…Naturally! partners with RCHN for blogger event
Now that the kids are finally asleep, it’s time for you to relax!
Jimbo’s…Naturally! is excited to sponsor “Good night, sleep tight” (a Rady Children’s Health Network blogger event), and share tips and techniques to help moms unwind before bed. In addition to learning about essential oils to promote relaxation, mom bloggers will make their own all-natural hand scrub. These homemade sugar scrubs are incredibly moisturizing and gently exfoliating – your hands will be soft and will smell delicious! Based on a simply recipe with a few ingredients, there are countless variations of textures and smells to choose from. An added bonus? Homemade scrubs cost just pennies to make compared to those expensive products you see in the spa!
Here’s one of the scrub recipes Jimbo’s will be demonstrating:
Vanilla Mint Sugar Scrub
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 T sea salt
- 1/4 cup refined coconut oil
- 1/4 cup almond oil
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon mint extractor 3 drops peppermint essential oil
- 3 drops Vitamin E oil (optional)
- 2 drops green food coloring (to keep it all natural, omit the food coloring)
In a medium mixing bowl, add the sugar and sea salt.
Add the remaining ingredients and mix with a fork until well incorporated.
Transfer to an airtight container.
Enjoy in the shower or while soaking in the tub. You can store this Vanilla Mint Sugar Scrub up to 6 months but more than likely, it will be used before then…the smell is so soothing and calming!
