Personal Statement

At what CPCMG office do you work?
I work at the Euclid office.

How long have you worked there?
I just celebrated my one year anniversary in July!

Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Orange County, California. I have lived all over California, including Los Angeles, northern California, Fresno, and now I feel lucky to call San Diego home for the past year!

Why did you decide to become a pediatrician? What attracted you to pediatrics?
As soon as I started learning about pediatric medicine in my first year of medical school, I became attracted to the field. During my training, I fell in love with pediatrics and knew that I would feel honored to go to work for kids and their families every day.

What do you enjoy most about working with children, parents and families?
The honor of being present with the family, in good health and bad, and helping them achieve their optimum wellness. It’s a privilege to serve the children and build a relationship with the family.

Tell us about your family. Do you have children? What do you like to do as a family?
I have friends in the area that I enjoy going on hikes with, trying out new restaurants, going to live concerts, and visiting museums. And with San Diego’s appeal, I’m lucky to have frequent family visits as well!

What is some important life advice that you can share with parents?
Appreciate every moment with your children, and enjoy it all.

How do you maintain a healthy lifestyle? Any tips to share?
I take the advice that I give to my patients: I exercise four to five times a week doing an activity I enjoy, and I eat lots of fruits and vegetables! We are lucky to have so many farmers markets close by, so it is fun to try out new recipes with seasonal produce.

What are your favorite pastimes/hobbies? What else do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy hiking, yoga, meditation, going to museums, reading, cooking and most of all, spending time with friends and family.
