Dr. Maewal is a board-certified pediatrician and completed her pediatrics training at the University of Minnesota and UC Davis. She has special interests in newborn care, breast feeding, and nutrition.

Since completing residency in 2016, Dr. Maewal has worked at UC Davis as a general pediatrician, including covering the inpatient wards and the newborn nursery, and supervising residents in an outpatient clinic caring for mostly underserved populations. She also has extensive experience in both normal newborn and premature infant management as a newborn hospitalist at Sutter Davis Medical Center.

Dr. Maewal grew up in North County San Diego and is excited to finally be returning to her hometown after years away in medical school and training. She is a mother to three wild boys aged 5 and under, and when she is not busy chasing them around, or working, enjoys hiking, baking, yoga, and bike rides.
