Dr. Empie knew that she wanted to be a pediatrician early – the perfect mix of science and working with kids. Treasuring her role as “Auntie Kristen," she studied at the University of Washington School of Medicine and completed her residency at UCSD/Rady Children’s.

With attention and care, Dr. Empie enjoys teaming up with patients and their families to help them make informed decisions. She emphasizes the small, impactful things everyone can practice every day – drinking water, eating veggies, playing outside, and getting enough sleep.

In her free time, she loves exploring the local neighborhoods with her dogs as well as visiting national parks and international destinations.
