"My love for children made pediatrics an easy decision. As a pediatrician I feel privileged to be invited into the lives of my patients and their families. As a mother of three children I can relate to the amazing joys as well as the struggles that all families encounter. I strongly believe in the body's ability to help heal itself and prescribe honey and chicken soup more often than antibiotics (though I certainly use those too when truly needed). When not in the office I spend time with my wonderful husband and children. I also love reading, quilting and Pilates."

I am drawn to pediatrics for the opportunity to watch children and families grow. I believe in partnering with parents in their children's care and health decisions. My professional interests include: natural approaches to healing, preventative health care and nutrition and breast feeding support. As a past chief resident of UCSD's pediatric residency program, I maintain my connection to the university and Rady's Children's Hospital by mentoring pediatricians in training and students (who you might get to meet at the office) and am the co-chair of our education committee. Outside of work you'll find me exploring nature with my family, reading, taking yoga or teaching my two boys the UofA fight song.
